Program Description: This track gives students who have prior college credit the opportunity to take the courses they need to obtain their nursing degree at Ashland University. You will benefit from personalized one-on-one instruction led by highly-qualified faculty in both the classroom and in the healthcare environment. Each faculty member has an area of expertise and shares their knowledge and clinical experiences with each student, ensure that you receive a strong education. More than 1,200 hours of clinical, laboratory and observation instruction will ensure your full preparation for a career as a nurse. Accreditation: Ashland University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents to grant bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Individual programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the National Association of Schools of Music, the American Association of Theological Schools, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Council on Social Work Education, the American Chemical Society, the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Eligibility Requirements: Prospective students should have a minimum of four (4) academic quarters or three (3) academic semesters with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in all college coursework. In addition, prospective students must have earned a course grade no less than a "C" in the following coursework from an accredited college or university. Spaces are limited therefore additional criteria for acceptance will be an on-campus interview; score no less than a 70 on the ATI TEAS in addition to completing Critical Thinking testing. Accepted Advanced Entry students are required to have a current American Heart Association CPR certification, uniforms and required equipment for clinical and lab settings and.
