Program Description: Cornell has two departments of plant pathology. All courses are given in the Ithaca department. The department at Geneva (fifty miles from Ithaca) emphasizes basic and applied research on diseases of fruits and vegetables and provides opportunities (including some assistantships) for students to conduct research. Students in the field may also carry out research at outlying field stations and, in special circumstances, in other countries.
