Review: Mesa State College is a public college with a liberal arts focus in Grand Junction, Colorado. The college has its primary campus in Grand Junction, a two-year division Western Colorado Community College, and a smaller campus in Montrose, Colorado. Mesa State grants two-year associates degrees, four-year bachelor's degrees, and master's degrees in business administration and education. The school is in the process of developing its first doctorate program. Mesa State College will be renamed Colorado Mesa University in time for the Fall 2011 school semester. The move is aimed at establishing geographic recognition, and providing clarity and brand equity while preserving the school's heritage.
