Review: Hamline University is a coeducational, private university located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Founded in 1854, three years prior to Minnesota's statehood, Hamline was the first established university in the state to begin enrolling students. The university is named in honor of Bishop Leonidas Lent Hamline, and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Linda N. Hanson is the university's 19th president; she was inaugurated in 2005. Hamline's School of Law is noted for its prestigious Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
