Message: The Delaware Skills Center offers many great classes both night time and day time. They can also help you recieve funding for said classes! I went from making minimum wage to taking the accelerated night time welding course. So after ten weeks the sky is the limit!

Message: I was able to begin my education in HVAC under the tutelage of Mr. Schneider. His teaching style was excellent and he spent his time making sure all of us truly grasped the information presented. I feel that I gained a solid education in HVAC as well as valuable life lessons applicable to the construction trades world. I found a fantastic job upon graduating and quickly found my way from maintenance technician to a full service tech. My life has been critically enhanced because of my education. Not to mention the rest of the staff was extremely professional and accommodating. Thank you DSC for giving me a foot in the door to my forever career!

Message: I was a student at DSC Fall of 2019 in their HVAC course. Studied under the loquacious Mr. Schneider who has so much comprehension & years of experience to share. The teachings were assimilated and with each new day I looked forward to topics I could learn to improve my skill-set. The class was split with book time and time spent in a shop environment with fellow students to get hands-on experience. The office staff made processes simplified and each representative of the school was always willing to help when needed from the initial testing phase to any issues that came up during the school year. In conclusion I recommend the school to anyone interested and wanting/needing to change their life. I will forever be indebted to the DSC instructor teaching rudimentary topics to the level 1 and wanting to see each and everyone of us succeed! I am still employed in the field and continuing my learnings.

Message: Learn skills. I can say this - the computer teacher is great (or at least the one there in the fall of 2017). He has a true passion for all things pc and networking. He knows his stuff and even has a sense of humor. This place helps give you the tools you need to succeed (ttynts) in Delaware and any other location with a need for skilled individuals.. Honestly though, I learned a lot here and was able to take both compTIA a+ certification exams for free. Those tests normally cost over $300. And if you fail, they can hook you up with a retry for around 50% off the normal price. Easily the best thing about North New Castle.
