Capella University

Message: I started at Capella University back in 2009. I finished my bachelor's degree in August 2017. (I became self pay that's why it took longer than usual to finish). I completed the accounting program which is accredited by acbsp. I have had a few interviews but I haven't got a job in that field yet but I lack experience. I plan to sit for the CMA to be an accounting Manager. I have learned a lot from this school. It's like how the saying goes you get out of something what you put in. I put in a lot of hard work and now I can say it was worth staying up late writing papers or reading a whole book in a few hours because I procrastinated. I will tell you that once I can afford to go for my Master's degree I will be returning to Capella University. Most of their instructors we're great. There were a few bad ones but that's with any University. I attended a brick and mortar and I didn't learn anything from there because the instructors I had kept going off subject and rambling on. I am glad I chose Capella University and if I had to do it all over again I would choose them again. I love the way they teach there. #Capellaproud #Capellagrad. Update: I was finally able to get an Accountant position with a fortune 500 company. I still only have my bachelor's degree from Capella University. This school is great for those who are willing to do the work.

Message: I finished my BBA and MBA at Capella. I enjoyed my experience. The coaches are learner centric and patient, also very knowledgeable. I love how they genuinely look out for the learners. I also liked the instructors that I’ve met through out the years. Some instructors made class very enjoyable with the contents. They also challenged me with their feedbacks in a positive and good way that help me grow as an individual. I believe that for someone to succeed at Capella, they would need read syllabus, course materials and scoring guides so they understand expectations and content to write papers and pass exams. It is also important to pay attention to dates and email communications to avoid financial and academic impacts. The only issue I had was 2 tech errors but the tech support and instructors were helpful. Also Capella is updating its systems to create a better experience for learners. One thing I would like is for Capella to Offer internships/partnerships for the business programs to help us get expose to the real world experience. Offer internships for HR, operations, marketing, supply chain, business analytics would be cool.

Message: From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. This helped immensely and calmed my nerves for entering into a graduate program online. I feel very well cared for and have not had a negative experience yet! I am 1 year into my program.

Message: As an adult learner pursing an advanced degree I enrolled in Capella University with a great deal of apprehension. I was greeted by an enrollment counselor who assisted with my enrollment process and it was an outstanding experience. Every step of the way the faculty was supportive and wanted all students to be successful. My doctoral project mentor was absolutely amazing and provided the support necessary every step of the way for my success. The collaboration with other professionals through the program helped to develop friendships beyond school, some of us were able to meet at graduation. The graduation ceremonies and activities were outstanding and the highest quality. My experience with Capella University was memorable and has allowed me to achieve my life long goal of both teaching and nursing. An outstanding educational program.

Message: I absolutely LOVE Capella! I got my BA from a brick and mortar University, so attending an online school was a shade intimidating. The transition began with problems getting everything from my BA college. The enrollment counselor helped resolve the issue and I completed my MS in 2015. I have continued with Capella for my PhD and the experience remains the same. Everyone has been helpful, understanding and simply, AMAZING! There were two professors that I thought were not up to what I have experienced there, but all schools have a few faculty members that don't quite seem to be on the same page.. I highly recommend Capella! I am thru the coursework for my doctorate and will soon be writing my dissertation. I could not have done it without the school, the faculty or everyone I've encountered at Capella!
